To clarify, form is more important than function then?

Well, the longer 98mm handle is, to me, an unknown quantity. If I had hundreds of dollars to throw around I'd get one of each, but as it is I have to restrain myself and get one, or the other. I know what the standard length/weight is like.
For instance, I have the Guerrilla with the hollow handle. It's 'alright', but I prefer a weightier handle. If I were to get the 98mm, the only reason I'd consider the hollow option is figuring that the extra length would add more weight than I would want.
One reason I asked the question to begin with was the hope that enough guys who had tried both options would respond. Of course there is a limited population of people who have shaved with a Wolfman, let alone had the opportunity to try all of the options.
I see, you want the best one! Ha! I have tried/owned most of the options, except hollow although I can certainly see the desire for hollow, for reasons you already stated. I have one of the lightest (80mm solid TiWRH2) and probably the heaviest (100mm solid SS WRH1)....and I like them both, for different reasons. Both are fun to play with.
The regular WRH7 is probably my second least favorite. It's pretty, but it is too narrow at the grip, for my hands. I had a WRH7XL in solid SS. It is by far my favorite, great diameter at the grip and long enough to catch my pinky for some extra control. I liked it so much, I have one in TI (solid) and 2 solid Ti Hybrid handles both based on the 7XL. It's odd how that little bit of increased scale turned a good hand into a great handle, for me.
I am partial to the 7XL for both function and form. If I was forced to limit my selection to just one...it's 7XL based, no question. Now, if I was into SOTD photography, the Darwin in it's custom stand on a WR1 head is pretty hard to beat.
I know a couple of guys have used the 7XL and commented earlier in the thread. Maybe they will chime in again. If you haven't read all of the posts in this thread, it's interesting/entertaining, if not educational. You may get enough opinions there to feed your decision.
