Most people aren’t successful on the drops for a lack of the 3 things I shared above. One guy made a spreadsheet of all the drop dates and times and he can get pretty close to knowing when it’s going to happen.

Just takes more work and prep than picking up a super speed off eBay. Some are ok with this and embrace the thrill of the hunt, others come up with reasons why it’s not fair they can’t get one and lots of folks are in between. All good.

I originally tried doing this for a few months but couldn't keep up with when all the drops were. Like I just wouldn't know they happened. Then I just lucked out and got one, then "it" set in, creeping from the dark saying another another and BOOM, I want a ti

Living on the edge
Is it sacrilege to pair a brushed WR head with a polished handle?
would it look silly?
Its ridiculous how easy the polished plate picks up glue marks from blades....
adds 10 min to my shave...scrubbing the plate with a soft nylon brush and soap.
Plus they are really slippery in the polished state

skill - when the drop happens, being able to navigate the choices and menus quickly. Knowing when to start watching based on the shipping status of the last drop.

Luck - right place right time.

Group - having other friends looking that will shoot you a text or message if they catch it open. The bigger the group the better the odds.

Good luck!

How can I get in on this group. Really craving a ti.

Do you have any wetshaving buddies? There isn’t one group - there are MANY! Get a group of wetshaving friends together and start a messenger group on FB or a text group. Keep one another in the loop with drops of all sorts. Take shifts to check wolfman etc etc!

No I don't. I'm the only person I know that wet shaves so outside of these forums and fb that's about it. I wonder about starting a fb group for it though, that could be a good idea if it worked.

Polished or brushed, heavily knurled or smooth, none of the duFour handles are slippy, With the exception of the original BBS-1 handle, all the Wolfman razors in my rotation are 100mm polished WRH2 but have owned/used all of them in both polished and brushed without any issues regarding grip wet and lathered.

I'm gonna eat a little crow on the Ti94. I just used it again with a new GSB and it tamed it quite well. I'm now almost certain I got ahold of a few bad Feather's.

Haha - can NOT even imagine shaving with a 0,94 (even without a blade would be a bloody pulp)

Based on my time with my .74 I wouldn’t even want to try it.

The WR1 .94 is extremely smooth. I find it just as smooth as my .74 Ti

You keep saying that DannyLaw...but did you not tell me you like a Timeless 95? If so, why does a large gap on a Wolfman automatically make you a pile of flesh? Just because JD himself likes a 54 gap, and won't recommend anything above it (slight exaggeration maybe), doesn't mean large gaps are no good. I've never used a straight but I'd imagine the training wheels on the 94 are super small. Can't be a whole lot of difference in blade feel...yet it is as smooth as a T95, to me. Don't be skeerd of big gap Wolfies bro...

In SS...I totally agree and would say it's smoother. Listen to the man DannyLaw, I'm not the only one.

In fact if I could get a .94 WR1 in Ti I think I would stop buying razors.
