If you like the CG L2, I think you’ll also enjoy the 1.15SB. I have both and find them both very nice daily drivers, with the 1.15SB just a little better in terms of both smoothness and efficiency. The blade feel is comparable, with maybe even a touch less in the 1.15, especially after the first pass.

I was a CG Level 2 fanboy till I met the 1.15SB....the latter was just a couple notches more refined on all levels. Left my face feeling considerably
smoother and well shaved. Altho the audio feedback from the Lvl 2 is sweet music.

Went back to the Blackbird for a day....I still haven't found anything that shaves as close as a blackbird....while the 1.15 gives me a glass-like shave, the BB post shave feel
on my mug is like marble...a little cooler to the touch.(no it wasn't menthol soap)

Really hoping to get a WR1 head that is going to replicate that BB efficiency, with Wolfman smoothness.....it has to be a .74 or a .80....read a few reports saying .74 OC shaves like a straight...so torn between those two....maybe a DC with .80SB and .74OC on either side. Like I said – maddening, figuring
these things out.

James doesn't do different blade gaps on the WR1 DC head that I know of. Only the WR2 head.

Go 80OC, it's much better than the 74SB for some reason. I sold my 74 because I think that head really smooths out from 80 up. I'm not much of an OC fan but in the 80 gap, it's fantastic.

I have a .80 SB. It's my first and only WR1. It's really nice. I am almost afraid to try another WR1 gap since this one fits my needs so well. I think I got lucky.

I remember you comparing the WR1 0.80 OC to Timeless 95 OC a while back. (for efficiency)
Assuming WR1 head will be smoother.

Funny thing about the Timeless OC, even in 0,95 to a guy strongly preferring mild shavers, found it the best shave ever on big open spaces such as the cheek and neck but almost impossible to maneuver around the nostrils.  As to comparisons to high gap Wolfman razors, have owned thru 0,74 and can state with confidence it compared more closely to a 0,61 for my experience requiring 36 hours or so between shaves.  The highest gap Wolfman WR1 remaining in my rotation is a 0,67 and it can only be used on 3+ day growth.  The unique design of the Timeless OC is magic; if they could just work out compacting the head.

Lol exactly. The people buying up multiples and giving that advice are the ones preventing you from getting your first.

Random drops are all about skill, luck and having a group of friends that share the same goal.

skill - when the drop happens, being able to navigate the choices and menus quickly. Knowing when to start watching based on the shipping status of the last drop.

Luck - right place right time.

Group - having other friends looking that will shoot you a text or message if they catch it open. The bigger the group the better the odds.

Good luck!

James only allows single razors per drop. You can’t buy multiples.
