A month or 2 ago I started selling razors off, now we are at the place where the only razors I intend on keeping are the 2 ti wr2’s and a couple razors to travel. My RAD is cured.

Oh man is that purty, Sean.  Congrats.

I won't get my collection down to 2 razors but 3 JD head configurations and a Blackbird is all I plan on having for a while, in moderns.  I gotta admit that stinking Janus would look great hanging next top the 2 Toggles I kept.  Still on that fence.

Has he said how much the Janus is going to retail for? I know the kickstarter is starting at $500.

I wanna say $625. It will be interesting to see what the 2 higher tiers are...and how much extra they are going to cost.

That's a lot! But I think it's a good deal for those who want a toggle strictly for utilitarian purposes rather than for collection. Anyways, I don't want to derail this thread.

It won’t be my only 2 razors but they’ll get the bulk of my use. I still have the following and will keep mainly for travel purchases as I’m not checking a ti wolfman in a suitcase:

Blackbird
Vector
Wr2 1.15 SS
Charcoal level 2 SS
Paradigm SE

I have a decent collection of British Gillette 3 pc razors that I’ll keep just because I think they’re cool.

This is HUGELY pared down from where it was before the wr2 was released.

For you guys who have been able to buy these, I have a question about the process. It seems as if recent windows have been open for a shade under five minutes. My question is about exactly when you are safe from a sold out situation.

Is having the razor in your cart sufficient or do you need to have completely paid? Just trying to decide if I should disable MFA on my PayPal account. Around the next potential window of opportunity.

Thanks everyone.

Things move at rapid pace. Many have had an item in the cart that by the time they hit the check out is then sold out.

Good to know. Thank you Marcos. Sounds like you’re safe onece you hit checkout then? Just trying to do as much up front work as possible so there is no crying later on.

Probably safe to exhale once you receive an order confirmation. Can be a frustrating process but if you stick with it you’ll be rewarded with an amazing razor from an amazing craftsman.

Ok then. I’ll figure something out for rapid payment. Thank you very much for the info.

No....you are not safe once you hit Add to Cart! You actually have to place the order. Have your PayPal/Apple Pay/Google Pay stuff all set up and ready to go.

Unsolicited advice...ALWAYS add a stand. Even if you don't want a stand. If you run into an Out of Stock issue between Add to Cart and final payment processing... DO NOT close it down. Look carefully...it's usually the head only the shows out of stock. Lot's opf times it will leave a handle or a stand in your cart. Check out with whatever you can. Once you get an order number, send James an e-mail with the Order Number as the subject. Ask to get the complete package...he will. I've done this a couple of times and know several friends who have too.

I actually had this happen with only a handle. I left the paypal window open and left, dejected, thinking No Razor for Me. Then it dawned on me...45 minutes later I checked out with a stand and wound up with a complete set.
