I believe that’s what this thread is trying to do, give thoughts on the WR2 and how it compares to the WR1 and other Razors. If people haven’t had the opportunity to try a bunch of different Blade gaps, then it could be a daunting task trying to decide what Blade Gap to choose should the opportunity present itself.
+1 just trying to help people navigate the gaps. Especially the higher gaps, my preference. I wish there had been a robust conversation on the high gap WR1 head when I started. I couldn't find it, so I had to figure it out on my own. Now there is a WR2 head to navigate as well.
There is a lot of good information in this thread from the beginning, from a lot of different guys. It has morphed, yes, but for good reason, IMO. May save a man from making a $600 mistake.

Please, clarify: preference based on what? This is the omission.
Based on the fact I prefer razors that cut well on my face? Based on the many dozens of razors I've tried and sold? Based on what I kept? My skin? My beard? My growth for the day? My face map? Preference is terribly individualized, you should know that. You seem to be trying to make this much harder than it is. I don't understand your point.
Not every shave review is a scientific paper. In fact, I don't think any of them are. It's just a guy with a razor in his hand. I can describe a razor to you but until you actually lay blade to face, you are guessing. With enough information provided and good questions on the reader's part, you can certainly narrow that guess down. That's all I try to do, help friends narrow choices.
FWIW...I don't shave daily. Never have, never will. If I did, I'd have two razors. Fortunately, I shave when I want to, never because I have to. I might have 24hrs of growth, I may have 7 days growth. The fun of the hobby, to me, is having different razors for different growth. Consider it an adjustable, if you will. But in the end, they all produce the same result but as Hunter pointed out, some shaves last longer than others.
This whole forum thing works well, if you work it. Read. Find guys that like the same kind of razors as you. Compare notes publicly and privately. Bam! You have new friends who's opinions you can lean on when deciding what to buy next. They may even be able to help you place the order by giving you the GO sign.
