Would be great if they did a polish titanium and offered the dimpled handle, not a huge fan of their current handle for the titanium razor, it’s slippery after the shave when you take apart the razor to clean it. Also, the lines on the handle push your fingers up to the head when loosening it, I’ve cut my finger a few times because of this when in a hurry.

Hi guys, I'm the "guy" who polished the Timeless in those photos. I confirm that it shaves slightly better as the head doesn't drag as much. Also it did take 1.5 hours, I didn't polish the underside of the top cap to make sure the tolerances are not affected.
This titanium is a bit trickier to polish than SS, because you get some really fine swirl marks which you need to remove with a very fine polishing compound. I tried a number of options, and eventually found that the last stage has to be done with Menzerna P175 Yellow compound and a leaf buffing wheel. This combination with a dremel gave the best final polish, with no swirl marks. Hope this helps....

Thanks for the info. Would you care to share the whole progression of sanding (if you did any) and polishing compounds?

Sure. I first purchased this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01F...UTF8&psc=1

I didn't use all the grades, only this sequence 600/ 800/ 1000/ 1200/ 1500/ 2000.

Make sure you wash the parts before you start with a finer grit.
For the flat side of the baseplate use a wooden block to hold the sand paper, so the surface stays flat with no dents.

Then I started using the Dremel, with a stitched leaf wheel and Autosol metal polish. This is usually enough with stainless still. Unfortunately with titanium this leaves swirl marks, difficult to see, but they are there.
So the last stage was with the same kind of leaf wheel but the Menzerna P175 compound. I tried different polishing compounds but they didn't work, the only one that worked is the Menzerna.

Any word on Timeless if they’ll do a polish titanium head for us? I emailed a few days ago but no reply and their usually quick, I’m guessing their looking into it

I asked them some time ago and they said no, that’s why I did it myself....

I believe Matt told me some time ago they would not offer it because it would make the overall cost of the razor a lot more but I could be mistaken. I figure if someone is willing to pay for the service why not offer it ?

The cost issue is interesting! A couple of days ago, Bullgoose released a polished version of their SE razor. The polished version is $30 more than the unpolished version.

don't quote me on that, I just believe thats what was said because it takes more time to perfectly polish titanium that SS.
Either way its a beautiful razor, I love my ti.95
