Fun write up of you’re experience. I’m glad you were able to get a GC due to your dedication and commitment... and your obvious excitement now that you did!

I’d encourage anyone who missed the drop to just make an Instagram and twitter account, follow Razorock, and subscribe to notifications.
This is also relevant for many other vendors where demand far exceeds supply.
Fret not, we’ll all get there.

I just kept checking this forum daily (I do this anyway so it wasn't a big deal).

I did as well once someone said that Joe was making them available 9pm eastern Friday then I did not even bother looking at my email. Just sat on IB Site and order it at 9pm.

Indeed, I don’t think there’s a fit-for-all system for events like this, or else we’d all probably be using it.

Although the e-mail notification system Italian Barber has in place is not perfect, at least it gives the vendor an idea of how much demand there might be for a product.

By the way, I’ve seen these e-mail notification options on several other vendors’ sites, as well. Friends, if you are truly interested in a product that is out of stock, use those e-mail notification requests. They will signal to the vendor that there is a demand for that product.

Joe did say that he had thousands sign up for the razor. I am not sure haw many were up for sale though. But the way it sounds it doesn't look like the is able to handle that kind of volume.

This is probably OTB software that probably comes with the webservice, just a guess though.

Joe described the software as “AI”.

I think the only thing that could really be done differently is asking the software provider to add an override option to notify everyone at a designated time. It may even exist already.

The website performed flawlessly (from my perspective) during the actual sale, and so far I think Joe has done a stellar job in cranking out such a widely-anticipated release.

The website indicates that they will keep making them until all demand is satisfied. No worries here.

Joe razorock , Can you elaborate if the head was tweaked at all from the prototypes that were sent out, including the one currently in the passarround ?
