Bonus points if you "get it".

I am not able to unlock it yet, but I suspect it is a homophonic translation of a popular song. I was first introduced to homophonic translations by my research advisor, Dr. George Bodner, Department of Chemistry at Purdue University. He had a copy of Ladle Rat Rotten Hut, part of Anguish Languish by Howard Chase (circa 1940s per Wikipedia!).

Oh, that's a good one! I have not thought of that snippet for years and years. Maybe music class in upper elementary school? Now I have to learn more about the song!

That’s great! I’m Quebec born, English as a second language and was sung and sang that song as a child. Of course it’s obvious now.

Eric MaineYooper  I love the Chief Inspector Gamache series by Louise Penny. My daughter reads them first then passes them down to me. I actually got her on to them but she likes to read through them faster than I do. Smile The murder rate of that small Eastern Townships village is quite something!!
