Wonderful pics Clint,
Just came back from vacation and used my SS Mongoose B2 with feather pro blade. I found the dr bomer handle very heavy. Think I'll need to use a lighter handle next time as I ended up with few nicks (probably also due to my technique as well).
Still haven't used my V1 AlumiGoose yet. Hoping I'll enjoying using the lighter version.

I like lighter handles for my Mongoose as well. For me the balance just seems to be better. Be sure to use a real light touch with your V1 AlumiGoose.

I apologize for being lax in updating the thread. Rather than go back through the previous months shaves with the AlumiGoose V1 and the Mongoose B2, I will recap the month as a whole.

I used the AlumiGoose and Mongoose for a total of 20 shaves throughout the month. The breakdown of the 20 shaves are, AlumiGoose with Feather Pro for 7 shaves, the Mongoose with Feather Pro blades 2 shaves and the Mongoose with Feather Super Pro blades 11 shaves. I tried the Feather Super Pro in the AlumiGoose V1 initially but preferred the regular Feather Pro. I continued that trend for May and had consistently very good shaves. After a month long break from the Mongoose, I had a rough time with the Feather Super blade so I took a couple of shaves to get reacquainted with the Mongoose before coming back to the Feather Super Pro blades. From that point on I had consistently very good shaves from the Mongoose with Feather Super Pro combo.
My take away from May is that I prefer the AlumiGoose V1 to the Mongoose B2. This is primarily due to the weight difference and its impact on the shave. I will continue to use both razors and update this thread from time to time.
