I bought three A&E soaps and two splashes. Uninspiring.
All of them are being sold after one use. Guess this is all part of the hype train same as Holy Black. Sad

Which ones did you get?

Asian Plum, Summer Fig, Grecian Horse. They are all nice, but not amazing.
I have the Calani oriental plum (which is amazing) and this A&E is a pale shadow of that soap.

What about performance-wise? It's gotta be better than THB I imagine.

Oh yeah! I never understood the hype around THB. The A&E soaps are much better than THB. I guess the THB packaging makes people go loopy with their prices.

THB? Cryptographer needed. Huh
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

I was surprised by the reaction of Mr_Smartepants to A & E soaps. This is definitely an example of ymmv. Meaning no disrespect to that poster, I have to say that this negative reaction is an outlier. A & E in its new formulation is getting top reviews, elite level reviews. Take Ruds for example. You can find his reviews of various iterations of A & E on the video portion of this website under Show & Tell. He gives this new base a 95 rating putting it up there with Declaration Grooming and Wholly Kaw. Similarly Dagwoodz (on a separate forum) rates it at a very high level.

I personally find A&E Asian Plum top tier. I love the scent and performance of this soap.

I'm glad I'm not the only one - I racked my brain trying to figure out what soap AFAIK was - then click, "as far as I know" THB I knew though Big Grin I'm not an acronym person - LOL is my personal pet peeve as, as far as I know, if you're not laughing out loud, you're not laughing.

So, I will assume from reading your past posts that you like the new version of Noble Otter better than A&E? Interesting. I wish someone sold samples of A&E as well as The Grooming Dept. and also Talbot's. Sad
