UPDATED list of razors:
So far the list below is all the razors we have commited for the Shave Off with the name of the member who's lending theirs for the Shave Off NOTE: If you see your razor without your name next to it don't worry it's because I have to go over all the emails and mark them in yet and I'd like to say thank you to all the members who have offered their special shaving tools to this Shave Off! It is much appreciated by myself and I'm sure all the members who follow this thread. The razors without members names next are coming out of my den. Lastly the razors listed in blue that we'd like to have in the Shave Off but haven't gotten a commitment yet from anyone will stay up and we are hoping a member or manufacture can lend us theirs for the Shave Off.
We are open to adding razors to any category as long as it's before the 2nd round in that category begins. So basically any razor can be added to any of the 3 categories before or during the first round and after that it can't.
One more note: No need to send a razor right away if let's say it's in the 2nd " Very Efficient Category or the 3rd " Hyper Efficient category as it will be awhile before we get there. Also if you have a time problem with a razor you'd like to send for the 1st category but you may not be at home or on vacation so you can't ship it out right away just make me aware of it and I will put it on the list. I will have to have it sent to me however before the beginning of the 2nd round or it will have to be removed from the list to keep things fair.
I'd like to get this subject out of the way right from the get go. As many of you know I started my own line of products called ETHOS Grooming Essentials and it's line of products which include shaving, skin, hair and body products that will eventually be in a vendors section here on DFS once my website is up but I won't be using any of my products in this Shave Off. I have not used them in the past Shave Off on the other site nor will I in this Shave Off on DFS as I don't want to be accused of using them to try and promote my brand. This Shave Off is a completely different journey for me and has everything to do with me enjoying this hobby which is also the reason for entering the business but I'm keeping them seperate projects. I have a pretty good assortment of Shaving soaps and aftershaves by a bunch of manufactures that I can use in this Shave Off. If a member would like me to use a particular product in the Shave Off please send me a full sized tub or bottle of the product for photo purposes and I'd be glad to give the product my unbiased opinion on the products as a shaving hobbyist.
I'll also be using one razor blade for the entire Shave Off and although I was tempted to use a different razor blade for each category I'm not sure if that isn't a little confusing. So I decided to use my personal favorite blades which are Feathers which I hand strop for the first use.
I also use my SSSST which stands for Skin Stretch Short Stroke Technique throughout the Shave Offs and will obviously be referring to it in the Shave Offs.
Also this is just one man's opinion on how all these razors shave and compare to each other in all the categories. Many of you may find you have different results than I do and I think we all welcome comments on your own personal experiences differ from mine. All I ask is if your going to post up your input, feedback, comments or maybe even your own Shave Off PLEASE do it right after I finish a Shave Off using the razor or razors you'd like to express your feelings about before I get to the next Shave Off using two different razors. This way it won't confuse the other members. So for an example let's say I do a Shave Off between a Vintage Gillette Adjustable and a Gamechanger after the Shave Off post your own personal experiences using one of or both the razors but please do it before we go to the next Shave Off using two different razors. Just wanted to be clear on that and I'll say thanks ahead of time for your consideration and understanding on this subject.
All the Shave Offs in the " Efficient Category " will be done on 2 days growth. I may got to 2 and a half or 3 days as we move to the other categories and I'm not sure on that yet and I'll post up my feelings on that as we go along or you can always make suggestions which I will always consider.
All the razors names in each category will be written on a piece of paper and put into a box and two will be randomly picked and those two razors will be matched up against each other. The winner of the Shave Offs name will be placed in a different box until the 1st round is over and then all the winners of the 1st round will go back in the box for the 2nd round and so on and so forth until we get to the Championship round where there's only two razors left to duke it out for the win. Obviously the losers will be eliminated and the razors will be put back in my den or sent back to the owners. BTW if a member has sent multiple razors which some have and you want a razor back right away after it's been eliminated let me know or if you'd rather have them all sent back at once also please inform me.
Lastly and most importantly I take pride in the fact that in the last Shave Off which was a fairly long thread we had very little drama between members and I would like to keep that going in this Shave Off. After all this is supposed to be a brotherhood of wet shavers who all enjoy this hobby so let's try to keep it drama free meaning name calling & put downs. Voicing your opinions or differences in your shave experiences are cool and what we expect I just want to keep this thread clean from unnecessary drama. As Andrew and I have talked and we agree we are all adults here and should be able to moderated ourselves.
Also like to hear from vendors or razor makers in the thread.

11. We have a special guest razor. This is a custom razor head that Henery aka @Scientificshave made and it was sent with a fatty Titanium Tibam handle. The gap looks huge and although it can't be officially in this Shave Off as it's a one of a kind and not available to the public to purchase. I told him I'd put it up against the winner in a Shave Off after the final round. I give him credit for designing his own razor and it should be fun to see how it stacks up to the most efficient razor out there.
NOTE: I'm sure I'm forgetting something and just so you know all the updates or changes will be posted in this thread in an effort to keep the Shave Off thread focused on just the Shave offs. Also there will be a index that will be updated on the first page of the Shave Off thread so you can easily look up a certain Shave Off.
