My previous razors from James used to come through Chicago but the last one went through San Fran en route to NJ. Hopefully I get some tracking updates today I’m stuck in the handoff phase from Canada Post to USPS for a couple of days now.

That happens with SFO. Always seems to get stuck there

Loot, you only guy encountered that places Astra and Feather in same recommended blade list for a specific razor. No doubt you right based on history of advice but it funny to see that in print

My pre-Covid Wolfman shipment thru the West Coast was a few days faster than via Chicago shipments. As I recall, the big difference was USPS time and slow trucks

Mine sat in SF Customs for a week before showing up on the radar again. It delivered fine but went dark for a while on the tracking system.

Yeah, I'm definitely paying the extra fee to use Fedex/UPS for my next wolfman.  Regular option is painfully slow.

When James offered the DHL to the US I availed myself of that for an extra $8.00 IIRC, then when that option was no longer available I requested UPS instead of Canada Post. It was faster by far. I always ask for expedited shipping and pay the extra freight.

Which WR1 gap would you guys recommend if I love my 1.55 WR2? Don't want to sacrifice on the smoothness that the 1.55 offers.
Edit: Trying to decide between a .86 or a .94.

Thanks

I would say the .86 is the way to go, and I actually prefer the OC with the WR1.

I have both the .86 (OC) and the .94 (DC) I too would recommend the .86 over the .94. The .94 is very good, but more 'blade forward' in feel ... at least to me. If you like that maybe the .94 would suit you more, but the .86 is a bit gentler IME, while still providing a helluva shave. YMMV.  Smile
