Have no doubt that if this were my first Wolfman I would make the sacrifice and would not postpone it.
We’re you provided any instructions on what to do once you are ready to proceed?
Shoot Tara an email with your request. It's my understanding you get put in the queue immediately. That means you should have a new razor in 2-3 weeks.

PS. Get the 155.

According to Tara, just send an email when you want to proceed with the acquisition.

There is no deadline for sending this email.

Anyone have the WR2 handle in 80mm hollow? If so how do you like it? Too light?

I have the solid 80mm WR2. I like it, but I think I would have liked the hollow better.

Gents. I recently acquired my WR2 .95SB and absolutely love it. Mild yet very efficient. I am interested in a WR1 now and Tara suggested I ask here what you all think the best comparable base is on the WR1. Is it the .48, the .53 or .61?

Easy: 0,95 WR2 has face feel 0,54 with 0,61+ efficiency NO way to get as much efficiency as WR2 without more aggressive feel. One purchases the WR1 for same reason purchasing a Porsche Air Cooled or Lotus Exige or S2000 - the WR2 is the Nissan GTR tuned to whatever level of efficiency sans feel desired

So I would go with .54 if I would be willing to sacrifice a bit of efficiency for a similar face feel?

My WR1 is a 0.61 DC and I adore that gap. For my skin it gives me the best shaves. It's as high as I can comfortably go with a WR1. I've extensively tried different gaps. The 1.15 WR2 is as high as I can comfortably go. I can get an extremely close shave but it can be too much at times. The 1.05 is much better for my the skin but I do miss that extra efficiency I get from the 1.15. So for me the .61 is equal or in the same ballpark as the 1.05 / 1.15. If anything I'd say the 0.61 would equal a 1.10 WR2. This is my experience and how it feels on my skin.

Oh wow. In that case, the .61 is definitely out of the question since the .95SB on the WR2 is as aggressive as I'd go. I think the .48 is probably too inefficient, though...
