The Ti 1.55 throws the whole comparison askew, because it feels so wonderfully efficient, yet uncharacteristically smooth compared to SS.

Ah Ti. How to get one of those! By sheer luck or maybe it was the Force I was able to snag a Ti 1.15 on the Wolfman site last year.

James has said that he is not doing any titanium now or anytime soon. As far as smoothness on the WR2, I don’t feel any difference in smoothness from my 1.25, 1.35 or 1.55. The difference is the efficiency keeps going up as the gap increases. That is the genius of James’ redesign of the BBS-1.

Has anybody found the higher gap WR2s too efficient even if not harsh per se?

My hair grows so fast that there's no such thing as too efficient for me, even as a daily shaver Smile

Hmmmm. Not only is my face more hideous than Lincoln’s but beard even patchier and skin terrible. Lost genetic lottery even before injuries

Too efficient....possibly. (in a good way)
Harsh...never. (unless you use additional pressure)

DanLaw If a razor was too efficient would one get "razor burn" or some sort of skin problem ? I suspect no one would want a razor too efficient for their face if I am understanding your comment.

My enquiry was not in any way meant to suggest people sought that result but rather if any have speced a razor too efficient for their beard and skin type resulting in irritation.

For example, postings regarding 0,74+ WR1s being ideal led to acquiring a razor so overly efficient for my needs it was sold after 1 pass of its first shave.

I just got notification that my Wolfman razor shipped today, and yesterday was my birthday! Could literally not have been closer. I'll never know if it's true, but I like to believe that this razor was actually made or finished on my birthday Smile Super excited!!!
