I have no experience with the .95 but the 1.05 is an extremely comfortable razor to use while still being very efficient. Very smooth and easy on the face but has the horses to handle multi day growth no problem for me.

Yesterday I shaved with my DC 1.15 OC/ SB 1.25 with a Wizemet 2nd use. Wonderful shave. For comparison, I prefer a Charcoal Goods Lv 3 to the Lv 2.

I was thinking about using a shim in my 1.25 DC. Never done a shim before. I will pull out a blade and cut the sides off. Once I do that, do I load it under the blade and assuming that will take my 1.25 up to 1.35, correct?

Oh  thanks.

Great point, I'd want it smooth as possible, don't want to scratch up a sweet razor, or any razor

The best way to shim, if you are going to do it routinely, find some good plastic to use. Clipped blade edges will not only rust, they are sharp and may scratch mirror finishes.

Will stipulate plastic superiour BUT take a mic or calipres with you when buying. Would not spec thickness >0,1mm

Granted, but you dont have to buy any specific plastic. Most homes have all kinds of flat plastic from packaging, grocery store discount cards, old drivers liscense, credit cards, etc., etc. Be creative.

My only other advice would be take your time making the first set. Yes, it actually works. Take the time to do a quality job. If you are shimming WR2, blade feel will increase but it will maintain smoothness.

Shimming is a great way to make your own adjustable....of sorts.
