I have 1.25 OC Ti on one side of a DC. I only use it WTG and it's fine. I found I was using a little too much pressure with Ti when I first got it, even though I was telling myself not to use much pressure. With the OC, I have to use even less pressure. Like, just touching it to my face...it almost feels like it shouldn't be working, but it does.

I only ask because I don't have anything that is more efficient than my BB. When I get a good shave from the BB, the BBS will last longer than anything else I have and I generally don't have to shave the next day.(09-23-2019, 09:44 AM)Starman Wrote: Quick question,115ish WR2...80 WR1. I don't think it's quite a 125. 115 is smoother with much less blade feel.
Would a wr2 1.05 be more or less efficient than the BB?
Any head to head comparisons to the mighty Blackbird?

so as things stand, this could be a daily driver for your needs?
I am happy to report, having sent the google form in on Sept 10, I received the auto confirmation yesterday, the 22nd. Waiting now for the email allowing any changes, and the invoice to follow.
I shaved with the 1.55 SB daily using a Feather, a Polisilver, and a Gillette Swede. I ran the Swede a second time yesterday. I also used the Feather twice, but not the Polisilver.
I want to thank LOOT for being so kind and generous to provide me the opportunity to find out for myself that the 1.55 is my gap of choice on this order. Without trying it I'd never have taken the chance.
For me, as important as the apparatus holding the blade is ... and we all know it is very important, the choice of blade can make or break the shave. With a really sharp blade, proper prep and lather, skin stretching, and no pressure, the 1.55 is an awesome daily shaver for this old man. YMMV

Yes, the 125 will cut closer than a BB and do it more smoothly with much less blade feel.

Excellent feedback. I've been told, by those who have tried both SS and Ti, that Ti mutes the harsh feeling a good bit. Have you tried SS OC in 125+?
