As for razors I’ve enjoyed, I’ve cleaned out the den to my Blackbird SB (would love to try an OC as I feel like I could use the extra efficiency) and my Fatip Grande (more of a travel razor). I’ve sold off other razors like my charcoal Goods (lv2 and 3) and my RS-10. The Blackbird is just the sweet spot for me for daily or every 48 hours, but I’m interested in trying a wolf and something that’ll give me a super close shave like my CG lvl 3 did but without the harshness.

Any opinions are welcome.

I liked the result of the L3 but agree it got a little harsh and not something I really enjoyed using.
The 135 is close to an L3.

If you shave at 48hr intervals, the 145 or 155 would be in your wheelhouse, I believe. Find your blade and you could do it quickly, without irritation. Be ready for some Blackbird+ kinda blade feel.

Thanks for the feedback! This is tough, trying to decide between the 135/145/155. I’ve seen lots of positive reviews on all 3 in this thread and do enjoy 2-pass shaves. Maybe the 1.45 is the sweet spot.

For those that have tried multiple gaps sequentially...do you feel the blade feel is increased at each and every step as the gap increases?

I’m leaning toward a 1.45 WR2 SB in stainless since the titanium does not seem to be an option for internet orders. Love my 1.25 and wondering if this is a good step up for me. Any advice? I was one of the first to get a blade gap 1.25 and when I did that order, James asked, “Are you sure you want to go that aggressive?” Wonder what he is saying these days to the guys ordering the 1.55 gaps.

For me, absolutely blade feel and efficiency increases with gap. From none to whoa!

All of the decrease in blade feel after the first pass too, unlike the WR1 head.

The WR1 Ti razors seem to mute a little bit of the blade feel too. I believe my SS145 has more blade feel than the Ti155. I should run them together one day to confirm. Ti is more comfy by a little bit, for sure. I also think my SS145 has first pass blade feel like a WR1 94. Hope this helps. If not, and you need more specific info I'd be glad to run any of them head-to-head and pay attention to whatever attributes you'd like.

Ha! Send it on! I'm just going to tell you tho, those big gap WR2 aren't scary. You should try one. I bet you'd like a 135Ti....or you just wander in down the skrait road.
