I initially put in for the basic brush, but some of the pics made it look pretty rough imo. I only found one pic. Any basic brushed finish owners out there?
I was also considering adding a stand. Does anyone have feed back on the wra2 vs the wra1 stand?

Unless you own or plan to own a Darwin, the WRA2 is nice, but unnecessary.

I have a DC WR2 1.15 OC/1.25 SB and the 1.15 OC side works fine. I've never completed the shave with that side alone, but the 1.15 OC is the lead in my using it for the first pass (WTG) and following ATG with the 1.25 for clean up. I only do two passes. Skin sensitivity precludes a third pass for me. So I would say that the 1.15 would be adequate if that was all I had. Having only lately had the privilege of testing a WR2 1.55 SB I can confidently order that gap when my turn comes along.

How does the CG Level 3 SB fare vs the 1.55SB?
So far nothing I've ever shaved with compares to the efficiency/comfort of the 1.55 SB. I'd compare it to best straight I ever shaved with, but even better than that. That said, the CB Lv3 SB is an awesome shaver, so is the Lv2 OC.

Reason I asked was because I read a report where a 1.45 SB was rated as being on par with, or even just sightly less efficient than a CG L3.
This threw me off a bit as, to my mind, there can't be too much difference between a 1.45 and a 1.55

I was considering the Dc 1.05 sb/ 1.15 oc,
My reasoning for this choice is that I would prefer a more aggressive Oc profile and a milder second pass/daily use from the 1.05,
If the 1.15 has the efficiency of the BB, & the smoothness of a .95 Timeless? then thats a good start for me,

Happy to hear oppinion on this?

I had that head in SS and currently have it in Ti. If I could keep only ONE Wolfman, that would probably be it. It's a very versatile combination.

I also have a 1.25 OC/1.15 SB and a 1.05 SB, both in Ti. If I could keep TWO Wolfmans, I'd keep these two. Between my three WR2s, the 1.05SB is my favorite and is a perfect daily razor for me. The 1.25/1.15 is my "beginning of the week" razor. I get exceptional shaves with it. Sometimes I use it if I go a day and half between shaves.

Keep in mind you can ask for a SB in dual gaps. It would require some thought, and possibly extra engraving, but it would be like having two SB razors in one if OC is not your cup of tea.

I don't know about that comparison, and had I not had the 1.55 in hand to try for myself, I never would have considered ordering it. Now it is a sure thing, given the chance. Once gaps started getting over 1.00 I couldn't keep up with the concept. I was shaky ordering the DC with the 1.25 SB ... where will it end  Rolleyes

Just going off memory, the 1.55 SB is noticeably more efficient while also being more smooth than the CG Lvl 3 SB and the Lvl 3 OC.

Of course the CG Lvl 3 is still extremely efficient and has quite a bit more blade feel. It’s very audible as well so I could see that skewing a comparison.

I shaved with the 1.55 again today. I used a Polisilver and it was a stellar shave, no nicks, weepers, ended up BBS with my usual 2 pass WTG/ATG. The difference in todays shave was the blade. The Polisilver, brand new out of the pack, was not as sharp as the Feather. It was very good, and more audible. Didn't pull or anything, and I ended up as smooth with no irritation or burn ... This shaving every day, which I haven't done in quite some time. Only ever since receiving the 1.55 a few days ago. Anyway, the fantastic thing to me, about the 1.55, is with this awesome looking gap the razor shaves so smooth ! I'm wondering if others will share my conclusion on it, or ... like most things in shaving YMMV.

Just received my second order confirmation from 09/6  from JD, (not google one)
This is a non reply email with further 3rd order confirmation to come before Invoice (which allows for changes) I hope this note will help in clarifying the current order process.

Invoice incoming soon no doubt....Happy days Smile
Same for me!  Most likely going with a 1.25 SB.

Received my 2nd order confirmation from 9/7 jdcncmachining. I'm not sure if this is a silly question, but what is the opinion between the polished (mirror)and standard polished version? Is it worth the difference in price.

Have you ever had/seen the short lived Guerrilla he put out a couple of years ago ? I'm guessing that is 'basic matte' finish. His 'brushed satin' is gorgeous IMHO, and worth the extra $ if you're concerned with finish. His 'mirror polished' is just exquisite, and though it is a substantial increase in cost, I think it would be worth it to someone who doesn't already have one.

OTOH, if someone is more into having a basic shaving razor the matte is probably fine.
