On my face the BB can equal the efficiency of the 1.15 but the 1.15 is a lot smoother.
The blade exposure of BB never bothered me, it was that sharp guard digging into my skin
that created discomfort, though that's subjective. The BB creates that suction effect while
shaving, that makes it so efficient. Im more careful with the WR1 blade exposure which calls
gets a lot more respect from me.

For me the 1.15 noticeably exceeded the efficiency of the CG L2 SB, while being smoother.
Would you believe the blade gap on CG L2 and L3 is the same....he just made L3 more aggressive
by tweaking other parts of the head. I didn't care much for L3 as it rubbed me the wrong way.

I don't think you'd go wrong by upping to a 1.25...forum history shows that you are much more likely
to succeed trading a 1.25 for a 1.15 if you're not satisfied, rather than the other way around.

For me the CG Lv2 SB does not deliver the goods (no pun). The Lv2 OC was very efficient, and the Lv3 in either configuration is fine. I have a DC WR2 1.15 OC/1.25 SB and the 1.15 OC side works fine. I've never completed the shave with that side alone, but the 1.15 OC is the lead in my using it for the first pass (WTG) and following ATG with the 1.25 for clean up. I only do two passes. Skin sensitivity precludes a third pass for me. So I would say that the 1.15 would be adequate if that was all I had. Having only lately had the privilege of testing a WR2 1.55 SB I can confidently order that gap when my turn comes along.

These previous posts give a great perspective,

I was considering the Dc 1.05 sb/ 1.15 oc,
My reasoning for this choice is that I would prefer a more aggressive Oc profile and a milder second pass/daily use from the 1.05,
If the 1.15 has the efficiency of the BB, & the smoothness of a .95 Timeless? then thats a good start for me,

Happy to hear oppinion on this?

I have the same perspective, in going with the smaller gap in the OC, and the larger in the SB. That's exactly what I did with the DC WR2 I got. 1.15OC/1.25SB. Truth be told I think I could've been fine with 1.25 across the board. It is a bit intimidating, choosing a gap when you know that it may be the only shot at it you are going to have, not to mention the expense. Of course if it doesn't work out for you there is always the option to sell/trade, but we want perfection first time around !  Smile

I had that head in SS and currently have it in Ti. If I could keep only ONE Wolfman, that would probably be it. It's a very versatile combination.

I also have a 1.25 OC/1.15 SB and a 1.05 SB, both in Ti. If I could keep TWO Wolfmans, I'd keep these two. Between my three WR2s, the 1.05SB is my favorite and is a perfect daily razor for me. The 1.25/1.15 is my "beginning of the week" razor. I get exceptional shaves with it. Sometimes I use it if I go a day and half between shaves.

Keep in mind you can ask for a SB in dual gaps. It would require some thought, and possibly extra engraving, but it would be like having two SB razors in one if OC is not your cup of tea.

Quick heads up,

Just received my second order confirmation from 09/6  from JD, (not google one)
This is a non reply email with further 3rd order confirmation to come before Invoice (which allows for changes) I hope this note will help in clarifying the current order process.

Invoice incoming soon no doubt....Happy days Smile

How does the CG Level 3 SB fare vs the 1.55SB?

So far nothing I've ever shaved with compares to the efficiency/comfort of the 1.55 SB. I'd compare it to best straight I ever shaved with, but even better than that. That said, the CB Lv3 SB is an awesome shaver, so is the Lv2 OC.

Hi all, I just received the second automated email. I’m going to do the 1.15 Sb, hollow wr2, with the basic polish. I initially put in for the basic brush, but some of the pics made it look pretty rough imo. I only found one pic. Any basic brushed finish owners out there?
I was also considering adding a stand. Does anyone have feed back on the wra2 vs the wra1 stand?

JimmyH,

I love your bold statement!

"So far nothing I've ever shaved with compares to the efficiency/comfort of the 1.55 SB. I'd compare it to best straight I ever shaved with, but even better than that. "

To find a DE to rival a straight has been my quest for the Grail of DE razors!

Perhaps I should up my game when my order confirmation arrives...
