Living on the edge
Once in a while Ive gotten a ho hum shave from a 1.15SB
But its always been either me dreaming, or off angle or it's the blade.
Today I popped in a new Pol Silver and everything just clicked.
Ive gotten some indifferent shaves using blades like
Super Nacet, Persona Blue, Feather, 7oclock greens.
Feather work great for some, I know.

Im hoping the Wizzies I have enroute will improve this razor even further.

The delay is due to the number of e-mails that can be sent. For free accounts limit is 20 and for premium it is 400. I think he has a free account and has now around aprrox. 200-300 orders that he will be working on till the next year end.

Could you tell what time exactly did you receive your first google forms email?

I used Polsilver, Nacet, and GSB blades, Feather is next.  I was not a fan of the WR2 until I used the 1.45 gap, it is efficient enough to allow me BBS face and DFS neck with 2 passes ( when I went ATG on my neck, I did get BBS). It is a very smooth shaver even at this large of a gap, I did not find this true with the Karve. The D plate was smooth but not consistent in getting results, the E & F plates lost some of the smoothness and never gave me the results of the 1.45.
Tonight for my 6th shave I barely had much to shave so after 1 pass WTG I only needed a 2nd touchup pass with a little buffing under the nose and jawline, easy work for the WR2.  I am surprised that a razor with this large of a blade gap can buff so easily.  Now it’s time to do some side by sides with my collection and start clearing out the den again.

Hmmm.  Wonder why the 1.45 was the first one you got along with?  Just a blade feel thing, maybe?  I know you've had a thing for razors cutting too close and messing up your 24hr routine.  In fact, I think you sold a 1.35 for that reason.  How will the 1.45 work into that equation or have you figured out a different approach to managing?
Since I had the 1.35/1.25 SB / OC my technique has evolved and I think improved so with the 1.45 I am using fewer strokes to get a very good shave by the 6th day I probably could have waited 12 more hours but since it’s so smooth I just did a simple shave. I like you, I am sure, am continuing to try to Improve my technique

I submitted two orders forms. The first I made a mistake the second amended with a short explanation. I am a little concerned that I will be removed from the list as a multiple order. Guess time will tell.

I guess you won't be the only one,
As its a new system and there is the option to make changes before accepting & submitting payment, I would imagine James would be fair minded by accepting first orders and cancelling further orders until after the first is fulfilled?
No doubt there will be some initial creases to iron out.

I see some didnt care for the 1.15. That is the one in my order and now wondering if I should make it a 1.25. My favorite razors today are the blackbird, charcoal goods L2, and still in testing the Game Changer .84. The CG L3 was too much for me. All standard/solid bar.

Makes sense and yes, always trying to improve on the task! I've settled on a shave pattern that yields the best results with no irritation so I use pretty much the same number of strokes, even with the larger gaps. However, when I drive the really big ones daily, it's best for me to forgo that perfect BBS every other day and limit it to 1.5 passes. Still a great shave, just not perfect and it let's my skin recover a little.

Is the 1.45 "that good" that it's forcing a re-look at inventory or is it just time to purge? In either case, it will be interesting to see what gets booted this time.

The 1.15 is in the neighborhood of the L2. The BB might cut a little closer but it has lots more blade feel than the 115. The 125, IMO, would be a slight step up in efficiency from any of those 3 and arguably smoother than all. The 125 is a slight step down from the L3 in efficiency but a ton more comfortable. The 115 is why I sold my L2 (I loved it). The L3 went with it and I added the 125. I think if you are going to keep the L2, the 115 is going to be kind of redundant in terms of final result. If you want to shed a couple of razors, the 115 is the way to go. All based on my face and tastes, of course.

I've not used the GC84 so I can't comment on it's performance.
