I’ve never seen a WR2 but had a WR1 and I’d find that hard to believe as it was already beyond perfect, it had its own category called Wolfman finish!

Same level of finish in my opinion. The WR2 has more flat surfaces so it does give you the impression that it’s more polished

Beautiful! Please report back on the blade gap and the SB vs OC differences if any.

I have a few Wolfman WR1's and just got a WR2 and what James aka LOOT is saying about the WR1 and WR2 is in my humble opinion is maybe true. I got my WR2 a little over a week ago and I placed it alongside my .61 WR1 which is a couple of yrs old but it's only got a few shaves on it because it's a bit mild for me. I placed the two next to each other because I'm going to do a Shave Off between the two razors to see how both the standard gaps compare and I noticed in the bright light that although the shine and finish quality is the same ( Which is very high ) The WR2 had more of a bright whitish look to it as opposed to the WR1 which had a slight bit cooler but still bright finish. You need to put it in very bright light like right near a window to see it. In fact I took a NOS Eclipse Red Ring which has the very brightest chrome finish of any razor in my den and put the WR2 and WR1 next to it. One on one side and the one on the other and the WR1 seemed just a bit cooler and the WR2 was closer to the very white bright finish of the Red Ring. Yet when you put the two Wolfman together in regular lighting they seem almost the exact same and in fact my latest purchased WR1 which is a .94 DC and it to was a bit brighter than the .61 and even the .80 and 86 which are not over 4 months old. So I believe maybe James is either using a new polish or maybe it has something to do with his new CNC machine. Not sure. Maybe I need better glasses LOL

I had this waiting for me when I got home from work this morning! WR2 1.15 SB w/ WRH2 Handle. I’m excited to try out the increased Blade Gap on this one, and I’ll report back once I have a shave or two under my belt.

I had my first shave this morning with my new WR2 1.15 SB. I was worried that I may have gone too high on my Blade Gap selection and that it would be too aggressive for me. After my first shave I’m very happy with my choice, this Razor is very smooth and has plenty of efficiency for me. Out of the Wolfman Razors that I own, the WR2 1.15 SB gives me very similar results to my WR1 .74 SB. I had a three pass plus touch ups BBS Shave, and my biggest takeaway after my first shave was how smooth this Razor is. I did my first pass with a Gillette Nacet, and the Shave was so smooth I popped a fresh Feather blade in for my remaining passes. I’ve had great results with Feather blades in my BBS-1 as well as the WR2 standard gap, so I wanted to see how it carried over to the WR2 with a larger blade gap. Excellent results with the Feather, the WR2 is so smooth it easily tamed the blade. This Razor has a small affective window as do all my other Wolfman Razors, but it’s easy to find. I also noticed that there is plenty of audible feedback which helped me keep the correct angle. The WR2 Head definitely feels different than the WR1, which is to be expected as it’s a new design. I had no problems getting to my tough to reach places such as under my nose, the Razor is plenty maneuverable even though it’s not as low profile as the WR1. I know it’s only been one shave, but my biggest takeaway was how smooth the Razor is. I’m really impressed with the efficiency while maintaining the level of smoothness that it does. This is a Razor that I feel like I could easily use as a daily driver, it will obviously take more uses to know for sure. I will get some more shaves under my belt and report back and see if any of my initial impressions change. I think James has designed one heck of a Razor, and I’ll be looking to add an OC WR2 in the future.

It’s an incredible razor and well the effort to get. I feel like the 1.05 is similar to a .61 on the face, but feel like I get .74 results with a wizamet.

I will likely try to source a 1.15 down the road once the initial feeding frenzy is over.

Btw - beauty of a shave there Hunter!

Also - which batch is that brush? Was that from a B5 one off drop?

Here’s a cut and paste from my SOTD on Facebook.

SOTD

After using this new 1.05 blade gap wr2 with a wizamet for a few consecutive days I’m leaning to the following comparisons. It’s efficiency is like that of a CG level 2. This razor keeps the smoothness of the .97 of the first release but has just a touch more blade feel. Still smoother than my .61 WR1 with the efficiency of a .74 and then some. Bottom line this thing is amazing.[Image: 4357fef925e67ea4ec96493784ff43b4.jpg]
