And how can you know that, if you haven't tried one as you say? There could be a significant difference. Or not. The fact that you enjoy your shaves with your NOS, I guess if you use it it's not NOS anymore but rather in excellent condition, is another story.
How's this: "Formally" NOS. Better?
BTW, I don't have to shave with every single razor ever produced to recognize a BBS shave. There are NO differences between a BBS and a BBS last time I checked.
Unless a Wolfman takes off a subtile micro-layer of epidermis that I am unaware of, I'll stick with my original statement.
Lastly, you are not paying $500 for a better shave, just a more expensive razor. Sure it may be pretty, but better shave, gimme a break.
I must add something else. It's posts like the above that do our newer wet-shavers a disservice. Telling them that a Wolfman will give them the greatest shave they will ever get is not good advice. Let me be perfectly clear. I have NOTHING against Wolfman razors. NOTHING. They are beautiful, well-made and extremely expensive. So is a Rolls Royce, but to imply that one will do a better job than another is patently false.

I appreciate the response, but this is an argument you will never win. I believe that if he raised his prices from $450 to $850 people will still buy it. See the guy is a genius as he only releases a certain amount of product a month and you never know when he will stock up.

It is that thrill of the chase that hooks people into buying his stainless steel razor as it makes the razor so hard to come by so you better camp out on his website and refresh every second for hours.

Your right it shaves your face just like all DE razors do. Does it shave better than other razors yes it does, but not better than some or just the same as others. If you are a hobbyist in DE razors then I can see the chase, but for me I just shave and I am happy with my tools. I have used 3 different Wolfman razors with different gaps. It was fine, but to me it was not worth $450 although that is me and I will never knock anyone that wants to spend thier hard earn money on it.

Exactly---It is actually cheaper than the oneblade which a lot of people own. Oh well, I am done with this thread,it has gotten off tangent
because of 1 post which said the Wolfman wasn't worth $500, which might be true, but the wolfman I just ordered costs $340 and I am SURE it will be worth that to me.

Exactly. I wouldn’t pay over 400 usd for a steel razor, but I’ve got a pile of steel razors that I paid 330 for

For me they’re worth every penny. Hopefully the wr2 that’s on its way will be too.

I'm sure the wr2 will be awesome. The man does some great work. If I ever get lucky and get on the site again, that is what I am going to get. Let us know how it shaves but I think we know the answer to that. Big Grin

I think Wolfmans flawless finish are well worth the extra $$$ compared to the others, there’s a big difference and that extra level of detail should come at a higher prices.
