Just received and used the Lime puck from Mike's Natural Soaps...it's an excellent shaving soap...for me anyway.

AF75, that is a beautiful razor. I had one but passed it on. I wasn't man enough to handle her. Seriously. I am guessing 2 passes is enough!

I could get by with 2 passes on my cheeks, but I always need 3 on my neck.  This is not an autopilot razor by any stretch of the imagination.  When you get the shave right though, it's super close and long lasting.

Interesting consistency (looks like Eucerin in the jar), is it as soft-paste as it looks? Need to be careful when loading from the jar, so you don't take too much?

Nero, I've never tried Eucerin, so I can't say how this soap measures up against it. But Ishtar is quite soft. To avoid overloading, I've been using one of Frank's great plastic spatulas to scoop out a dose for each shave. I smear that into a lather bowl. Right now I'm using about 1.7 grams per shave.
Cool, thanks Bouki. I don't use Eucerin either ... My mother has used it for years/decades on her hands.
Pretty much looks like the brushless creams from Caswell-Massey.

Phoenix Shaving - Douglas Fir (CK-6)

Dead-on, 100% smells like the cracked needles of a Douglas fir tree.
