What soap/cream did you use today?

Bouki  I don't normally weigh soaps. Your recent post about using 1.7 grams made me wonder how much I typically use. Today's shave saw the reduction of 4.3 grams of product. A bit wasteful? Sure. Delightful shave with tons of lather? Check. Lots of the lather was washed down the drain, though. The soap was slick enough that I was able to complete the entire shave with only the initial application during the face lather.

This is a sweet, flowery soap with a hint of menthol. It smells like honeysuckle on a cool summer morning. The soap is named after Lorenzo de' Medici, Il Magnifico. In fifteenth-century Florence, he was the head banana. Despite his immense wealth and influence, he suffered an odd twist of fate: Lorenzo, for all his magnificence, couldn’t smell a thing.

FaceScraper, nothing wrong with making a fat offering to the lather gods. As long as you're enjoying yourself, who cares how much lather goes down the drain. Load up and love your shave.
