What soap/cream did you use today?

Bergamotto di Calabria (Abbate y La Mantia) soapy citrus

I like how honest this soap is. The label says this will be a hard soap, and it is. I bloomed it and then took 120 swirls to load my brush. I also added three drops of koolada, since things are still toasty down here. Bergamotto di Calabriat smells like soap with an afterthought of bergamot. Will a whiff of this soap transport you to southern Italy? Not likely. But it’s a nice clean scent, and I’ve got no gripes with the lather.

MONGREL

So LPL soaps for me are terrible. A few smell nice. I have a big puck of the Apricot..... terrible lather but scent strength is good and I reallt like it.

I had a puck of Mike's Unscented and Calani Dubai which is so old there is no scent left. These two guys are great tallow based soaps and make great lathers.

I shredded the two tallows with the woefully inept LPL and made a pretty useable product. Looks weird but solid lather is now possible with the Apricot LPL.

The LPL is the middle layer in the melange: The Calani and the Mike's are the darker colored soap in pic #1
