At a recent shave meet-up I picked up a tub of B&M the Four Horsemen War. Touted as the scent of gunpowder and hot metal it ought to tell an interesting tale for sure and as a member of a quad of Apocalypse soaps one ought not expect it to smell marvelous but…….interesting Often maligned I realized that you naysayers simply don’t possess sophisticated enough olfactory abilities to revel in such a one of a kind scent. I, on the other hand, have a maturity and mastery far surpassing you plebeians and can better judge this most amazing soap. The soap base is excellent but that’s no surprise. The scent left me smelling like a high grade south of the border condiment……..cilantro, which as everyone should know by now smells just like a mix of gunpowder and hot metal. Ah, the amazing and manly scent of a street taco! Shaving excellence!
Ha! B&M has turned out some amusing scents over the years but this one? I took this one off the PIF table to keep some unsuspecting person for injuring themselves. I can’t imagine war smelling anything but bad but I had no idea war smells like cilantro. If you get the chance………..pass.
