Clay Face

Cade (L’Occitane) sweet juniper
Shave 16 ・ 109 g left

Remember about ten years ago when L’Occitane offered a cheap synthetic brush made by Plisson? It changed the game. It was the first affordable and readily available synthetic brush that actually made a good lather. Light as a cloud and as soft as a summer breeze it whipped up a remarkable lather, even from less than stellar soaps. I finally laid my hands on one of these brushes, still in mint condition. The knot looks like any other Plissoft tuft, but my, doesn’t it make an extraordinary heap of lather. I dare say it works much better than the Razorock dupe brushes. This Plisson can coax a splendid shaving foam even from this old puck of Cade, and that’s saying something.

Experience is that low density/low backbone knots of any material are the best lather generating
