Compared to Grooming Dept’s robust takes on oud, Wholly Kaw’s King of Oud is pretty tame. I smell dried fruit, florals, and old wood, lots of good stuff. It’s quiet enough for a calm Sunday morning, and if I squint I can almost smell JXXV.

FaceScraper, great work on that tin of bay rum! You're an inspiration to us all. Keep it up. Nice to have at least one of us chewing through a tub from time to time.

TommyCarioca, the menthol in Wholly Kaw's Fern Concerto is light. I get about three minutes of chill after the last rinse. The soap smells like Eau de Guerlain, a lemony cologne with bits of green stuff floating in it. It's a summertime staple for me, but I'd be telling a stretcher to say it was a fougère.

Thanks Bouki! No concrete plans yet on what will be the next target. Maybe for a little bit, I'll bounce around for some variety and then select something to work on finishing.

Boukimaster, thanks for more resolution on the WK. I love the base and am familiar with Guerlain's classic. I wish I was more amenable to menthol. Too many cold nights in Russia I guess.
