The Feather Artists Club Professional blade gave me ten shaves before showing signs of dulling. I found it to be a fairly easy blade, a little sharp at first, but from the fourth to the tenth shave it was marvelous. Today I replaced it with a Kai Captain Titan Mild (Pink). It has more bite than the Feather Pro. I’m going to have to remember my manners.
Spitfire just gets tougher as it gets older. I bought it seven years ago, so it’s pretty dried up. Yesterday I made a massive load of lather with only one gram of soap. With use I hope the remaining soap will soften, allowing me to pick up the pace.
