Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,445

Been working the FNL's soap as it was feeling light. The ring of death is started in the tub and so the dance begins. Also 15 days ot from my 4 Year mark of zero missed daily shaves.....at least that's when I started taking note to count them and can document but actually already longer than that. Not a big deal I know, it's just shaving right. Have a great day Folks !!

I long for the day that Trumpers once again make soap that shaves.  I’m guessing they had to agree to some inordinately huge run size to get a price point that works and ended up with pucks that are no better than bath soap as far as shaving goes.  I own several pucks of Trumpers with Potassium Palmate as the first ingredient and they function fine.  Eucris?  Nope.  I had to grate it down, mix with some Vito’s and got it to a good shave again.  Why bother?  Because the presentation is so nice and the scent is killer.

La Fougère Parfaite (Wholly Kaw) Fougère Friday
Shave 20 ・ 74 g left

I like to load these Wholly Kaw soaps heavy, about two grams per shave. You’d think that much soap would make mountains of lather. Fact is, I’m getting just enough for two passes and some clean up. Good gravy, though, it’s rich. And as I’m just discovering, with enough water, it’s extremely slick. The edge of the blade is just barely noticeable. I still haven’t tried WK’s Siero base, but I’m so happy with these old pucks, I don’t feel the need to upgrade.

Have the same experience with this one. The Siero is a definite improvement though whether it was needed or not. It's nice !

Best rose soap in the stable. Well, hold on, maybe I should say it’s running neck ’n neck with Eufros Rosa Bourbon. While that soap’s a straight rose, this Chypre Rose Concerto is bolstered by all sorts of resins, citrus, aromatic herbs, and some lilac. Smells incredible. Just the thing for Thuroseday.

Closest thing to Frédéric Malle's masterpiece, Portrait of a Lady. Another reminder to lather it soon, and it is a great base!

Blade: Astra SP
Brush: Paladin Chief 26mm
Soap: Hags Hell Fire Club
After-Shave: Hell Fire Splash

My first time using Hags and it's a great base. Easy to load and dense slick lather. The scent is a homage to Dior Sauvage. The scent is strong in a good way. This is going to be a staple in my Den. The brush was softer and easier to load today. Not sure if it was breaking in or the soap.
