It's Tuesday so I had to use Tabac. Second use on this puck, I plan on tracking its lifetime to see how long it lasts. I will only use it on Tuesdays.

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

I am looking forward to see how long this one lasts. If I only use Tabac on Tuesdays, how many years will it take to kill?

Your puck of Tabac weighed about 130 grams new. If you load like a madman, you might use 0.7 grams per shave. That means you'll get around 185 shaves out of that puck. Now, there are about 52 Tuesdays in most years. So I figure you'll be looking at that puck of Tabac for about 3½ years. I expect you'll finish it some time around the end of September or the beginning of October 2025.

But this all depends on how much soap you load for each shave. I've used my puck of Tabac twice, and it still weighs exactly what it weighed when I first unwrapped it, 132 grams. It's a perpetual soap whose lifespan may be measured in millennia.

Have fun with this! I'm interested to see how this all works out for you.

For reference, my empty glass jar of Tabac, with the lid on it, weighed 307 grams.

I’m seldom a fan of boozy scents.  They always seem to conjure memories of a man who wears too much gold, too much cologne, and too much booze.  Tim’s Soaps Breakfast of Champions though does not attempt to blend a cologne scent with cigars and bourbon though.  It allows the bourbon, the coffee, and the cigar to make their own scent profile and it is luscious.  I don’t drink bourbon.  I don’t drink coffee. And I don’t smoke cigars but this soap has always been a favorite.  Can’t even remember how it found it’s way to my home except I do love the smell of brewed coffee and perhaps that’s why I purchased.  It doesn’t appear often but I sure do enjoy my shave when it does.  Tim’s made quite a splash many years ago and another splash when he announced he would be shuttering.  This is a high stearic veg soap and it acts like one.  It’s also coconut oil based so one would expect it to be a tad dry.  The avocado oil in the mix is not able to overcome the coconut but never fear, my raw Shea butter is always out and a dab in my palm, rubbed briskly, and applied on my freshly shorn cheeks and neck will keep me pretty!

Nancy Boy Blossumwood cream

You old fellers will remember this maker I think. I have had this about 10 years. And it is still soft and creamy in the jar. Scent strength still outstanding - a great fragrance accord as well. Of course they stopped making this version. I haven't checked lately on their disposition - but I will per this reminder of quality.
