Over 4 decades of shaving and this morning was the first time I’ve used the iconic Cella. Frankly, no surprises and I think with shaving that is a good thing. Here is what I noticed. The tub is smaller than I imagined it. Pretty tall but the diameter is smaller than industry standard right now. The lip of the container is sharp. Sharp enough I didn’t want to load from the tub so I moved a knob into a bowl. Scent is cherry/almond which is nice but fades during the shave. Lather is easy to build and is of higher structure than most. The Santa beard is alive and well. This soap is plenty slick and it nailed a very close shave for me this morning. One thing I’ll add is you best have a post shave product standing by because the finish is Saharan. No problem for me at least. It’s fun to use such a storied soap that has been a stalwart of the industry.

But, personally, I prefer the Lilac scent of MW's. But then again I'm a firm believer that no artisan does florals as well MW(03-07-2022, 05:53 PM)frenchy Wrote: Just noticed that our lilacs are starting to bloom…but…alas…no lilac soap…..so went with Ethos Lavender v1….
There’s at least 1 lilac soap I know of
