Glenn, I've had a reaction with every GD soap I've tried (@6) and so avoid them but this one had me curious. How's the scent ?

It pretty damn spectacular - by far best GD soap ever used (even surpassing Nai).  Unlike prior Mallards this one rinses clean without residual. The Almond Vanilla also quite good.

Text me your address and will have samples sent out by SO Monday. (7705974646). Having some neurological issues so can't promise being able to check DFS. It worth your time; best GD to date

Thanks for the offer Dan and hope all goes well with the health issues. Have a sample inbound already Happy2

Beautiful ultra slick lather.  A nice blend of spruce , balsam, and resin. Don't get much pine at all. Off the puck a little bit earthy, but that was gone upon lathering. This is very reminiscent scent wise of Eleven's Blue Spruce. The base is firmly in the  pole position of the regular rotation.

Know Lip was less than interested in the scent - I get pine tar

I'm still working on the bottom of the jar of my two-year-old 7.5 ounce jar of Ethos Lavender. This soap is hands down my #1 soap. And it lasts a very long time. Superb value!!!

Great Shave this evening.  B&M Rhapsody in Glissant, Envy Shave fatty brush, and a Lupo .95 with a feather.  The B&M sure performed and kept that big gapped razor tamed.  Nero, the .95 was the right choice.  Thx.

No. 89 (Floris) citrus fougère

This bowl of No. 89 got two-hundred swirls too, just like yesterday’s Windsor. Same results. A very nice lather that smelled divine. I’m really enjoying these British hard soaps now that I’ve learned to load from them unsparingly. To think that when I first started shaving with a brush and a bowl of Windsor, I tried to make a lather each morning out of only thirty swirls. Ouch.

TDS Kosmetika, Anise (Belarus)

Every good man deserves to discover himself, find the love of his life, make good friends, have great life experiences and at least a shave like the one I had today.

This non-tallow soap from Belarus gave me a splendid shave this morning. I didn't get much volume, residual glide was rather poor and the emulsion started to get dry just a bit too quickly. However, the soap delivered absolutely fine in terms of cushion and post-shave feel. Scent wise, beautiful... just beautiful. I discovered I thoroughly enjoy anise. Overall, a great shave.
