What soap/cream did you use today?

And the scent?

The scent. . .  It's never going to be my favorite. I smell lots of coffee, cream, a bit of tobacco, and smokey leather. It reminds me of getting off a red-eye flight on a cold, overcast morning. Every one is wearing leather coat, and everyone is heading straight for Starbucks for a venti of Americano with an extra splash of heavy cream. I'm one of the last off the plane, and I'm already a little nauseated and dizzy for not having slept. I step into the gate area and that wave of the bittersweet aroma of coffee wallops me and turns my stomach over. It's trailed by something that smells like day-old flowers in the all-night gift shops. Gag. I guess coffee and old flowers are just not my thing. Will I use up this sample? Sure, I hate to waste. But I don't see a full tub of Leviathan in my future.

No experience with the soap or flying actually but that may just be the funniest soap description I've had the pleasure of reading definitely made my day for sure.

Nivea Sensitive Shaving Cream

The kid was over last night with 6 of the grandkids and it was glorious.  He also brought PAA Ciderhouse Five in CK6 base for me to try.  I already knew I’d like the soap as CK6 is just plain awesome.  I also knew I liked the scent.  In fact I REALLY like the scent.  But I smelled in the scent a little kick of cinnamon in the “mulled cider” note and I wondered if this gloriously scented soap was going to escape my cinnamon sensitive skin test.  Well, I lathered it up and true to history it was glorious a d the scent is fabulous but as the soap sat on my cheeks I started to feel that cinnamon tingle.  Two passes and I was done.  Rats!  My skin wasn’t lit like heavy cinnamon does but it was off putting enough to negate the rest of the experience.  Well, can’t win them all I suppose.  I do love the scent of cinnamon…..
