I decided instead of shaving ridiculously early this weekend before going in for overtime, I'd wait until I got home in the afternoon. This way I didn't have to rush any more than necessary. Today this worked out even better. I got to see TommyCarioca post using Grooming Dept. "Melody". So, yeah...he inspired today's shave. His brush has more cool factor than mine, but that's ok.
The scent is nice. Not one of my favs, but still good. The real shining star is the performance.
I loaded for only about fifteen seconds, which is pretty light for me. Didn't matter. It still took gallons of water to dial it in, and the volume grew waaaay more than expected. And, seriously - a vegan soap base? If you didn't tell me, I'd never guess. Even the residual slickness was just plain stupid. Matter of fact, I completed all my passes without re-applying any additional lather. as I normally do, I applied the remaining lather from the brush on my face after the shave. I left it on while I started policing the sink area, then rinsed it off. The post shave is also killer. Mo does soaps right. Even his vegan bases are right there with the tallow ones.
Thanks to Tommy for providing inspiration to pull this soap out today. It really needs to get used more often than it has in the past.
