If I were to walk into a store and have the opportunity to smell Badlands, it would immediately go back on the shelf and I would be searching for coffee beans to cleanse my olfactory palate. Having said that, boy am I glad I didn't walk into a store to smell this one first.
This scent needs several revisits before developing an opinion. After the 3rd or 4th time of opening/sniffing the tub, I started to pick up a cherry-vibe. The best thing I can compare it to is cherry-scented pipe tobacco. And not the scent of pipe-tobacco smoke...no, this is bury your nose into the unlit tobacco leaves and take a deep breath! Not being a big cherry-tobacco fan (back when I indulged in a pipe 3 to 4 times a day), I really didn't think was a scent for me. But, once lathered, the scent is a bit more subdued. It's no longer sticking your schnoz in the tobacco leaves...it's more like someone in the room has opened the tobacco jar and is packing the pipe.
