Vanilla & Rose v. (Simpsons) creamy rose
This isn't going to make you think of ice cream served in cut glass bowls under the pergola. It’s not that type of vanilla. In fact, I don't even see vanilla listed in the ingredients (though there is, surprisingly, some frankincense). What you get is mostly centifolia rose that’s had the granny aired out of it. Good scent? Yeah. If you want a rich, creamy rose that’s not overly old fashioned, it’s a good choice. What about the performance? Just a dab will do three passes. The cream will take a quite a bit of water, so hose it down good and you’ll get a nice thick emulsion that has pretty good slip. Building a splendid lather is no trouble at all. It finishes dry at first but then softens up as the day goes on. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to give yourself a few slaps of aftershave.
