I don't know what Penhaligon smells like. But, this soap has a wonderful scent. And the performance is very similar to the A&E.

Mint Ice Menthol Paste v. (Meißner Tremonia) peppermint & eucalyptus

Menthol season is upon us again. After working in the yard all morning under a very bright sun, I loved lathering this cooling Mint Ice Menthol. It’s not the sort of menthol that will take your breath away. It’s just a nice chill that lingers for about ten minutes. The eucalyptus is well mannered too, and the peppermint won’t make your eyes water. The only thing wrong with this paste is how fast it’s disappearing. I’ll be lucky to get another thirty or forty shaves out of this jar. Let’s see now, if I stick to my rotation and use Mint Ice Menthol four times a year, this soap will have a lifespan of less than a decade. Better enjoy it while it’s still around.
