I am a fan of Cyril Salter creams but my real love are hard triple milled soaps so when Salter came out with a hard puck, and reports were favorable to it creating good lather, I was in!  Was I concerned that sodium Tallowate was the first ingredient?  Sure I was as I had never experienced a “sodium” first soap to really perform too well but guys I respected reported good outcomes so yep.  And they were right.  Good creamy and slick lather so I have to change my “no sodium first ingredient” mantra.  The lavender scent is certainly not straight lavender but a good mid strength gentleman’s lavender, meaning this is not a unisex type scent.  Very old-school masculine. 

The Alberta grass fed tallow plays a part. Remarkable base and scent on this one.
