Thanks Bouki. I closely read all of your posts and I think i know what your preferences are, esp on the Fougeres you have been using lately.

This puck may be too light for you- no fern-forest floor aspect to this. I detect no oakmoss or oakmosslike substitutes. It is a floral 'Fougere' as I get a lot of neroli and orange blossum on it. It is misnamed IMHO. It is certainly not a classic Fougere - would not pair well with azarro or 3 men. I really like it though [floral bias/preference on my nose freely admitted]. Performance is great as you know. The obvious reach for this is a coupling with an orange blossum edt/edp, not a fougere as labeled. This is in the top 5 for me on scent - but it is definitely not a green, mossy fougere.

A superb shave.  Ethos is superb soap. And I love this scent -- and, yes, I'm partial to citrus.

Thanks, TommyCarioca. You've got an awesome nose (and you're saving me a bundle!). Fougère Mania sounds interesting, but it's not what I'm after right now.

Thanks. It was nice to get it back. Learned my lesson to hold tightly onto a brush when shaking kit out!

Mammoth Soaps to date have not really found a scent that I really like.  I don’t mean that his scents haven’t been pleasant because they are.  What I mean is a scent I can really sink my teeth into.  Mood Indigo just almost gets there.  As you likely know, many years ago Duke Ellington cut a jazz classic by this name.  A bit melancholy perhaps but hey, it’s jazz and it’s wonderful.  This scent falls into that genre pretty well.  It’s bright enough but not lilting.  It’s heavy enough but not dark.  It feels like a walk on a quiet urban street in the dark.  It is a lonely scent.  The blueberry note is up front, oud brings up the rear.  The rum note is nice without being boozy.  Yep.  I like it but wish it were about 2 notches stronger.  It fades on the shave.
