What soap/cream did you use today?

Yesterday my spreadsheet hinted I had nine shaves left in this tub. Today I revised the weights and measures. Now it tells me I’ve got 21. I was really looking for soap I could pop off before the end of the month, so Spitfire will go back in the hanger. The hunt continues.

   

And people ask why I load my brush so long.....

Lip: I hear you! Using the Marco Method (wet, wet brush & 120 swirls) I'm averaging 4 grams of soap per shave. But even at that extravagant rate, I'll be looking at my current soap stash for well over a decade ... and there's always the temptation to get more. Man, it takes a long time to turn this stuff into lather.

Smoking a 4.5 pound chicken... and 2.5 pounds of wings (just in case!).

Low 60s, beautiful skies, great scents from the smoke and surrounds, sound of leaves, gentle breeze, and nothing to do but wait for this meal...

Darkfall t. (Declaration Grooming) spicy oud

You can pick out oud, maybe some cinnamon, amber, and nice dose of vanilla, but this scent really isn’t about its parts. Take a sniff and you don’t smell the bits and pieces; you smell a heap of fallen leaves smoldering in your neighbor’s back yard on a cool fall evening just after sunset. He’s in Nevada Dan, I can tell by the UFO swirling above his driveway...

Lots of gents like Dr. Jon’s products and I’ve had a few over the years.  This tin of Flowers in the Dark came on loan from a son and I enjoyed the chance to give it a go.  The top and middle notes are lavender with a base anchored by wood I’d guess.  Loads and lathers easy.  Reported to be vegan for those who value that connotation.  Provided thick, slick, protective lather.  Problem is I have several lavenders I like better.  My son loves this one though and it’ll be returned without any more soap returned.  Great performer, just not my lavender cup of tea.  

Love the label, but I’m VERY particular on Lavender and I’m a meatatarian, so there’s that...the real reason for my post is your brush...absolutely exceptional! I only just began to enjoy the keyhole style
