Art of Shaving Sandalwood shaving soap (tallow) + a few drops Rose Geranium EO/Rose Hydrosol. The soap has an underlying clay odor that I don't like very much, and the rose geranium mix pretty much covered that, as well as sweetening the lather.

It was a sad day when the great fragrance house of Geo F Trumper decided to throw its shaving puck users to the wolves and release a subpar formula upon the unwitting Shaving cadre.  Their scents are amazing.  Their previous soap formulations were awesome too.  First there was a tallow version which seems to be a grail soap but I have never experienced it.  Next was a Potassium Palmate soap which I find to be totally acceptable.  Then the company decided to swap for a Sodium Palmate soap that won’t lather worth a darned.  I have several potassium soaps that shave great and a few sodium soaps that will become toilet soaps.  This morning?  Trumpers Violets!  It’s an old school scent with violet leading the way and backed up by wood I believe.  Scent is on the lighter side but it lingers post shave which I enjoy.  Often, floral notes smell synthetic but I understand this scent is essential oil and smells true and clean.  This puck doesn’t Need a super long load but 30 seconds and about a minute or two on the face and it’s Good to go.  Great shave.
I have a Trumpers Coconut oil cream and it’s a performer too.  I understand there is nothing wrong with their creams bit IM A SOAP USER DARN IT.  Perhaps Trumpers will reformulate their soaps so I can get a puck of Eucris which scent I totally adore.  And how about that Teton Shaves brush?  Love his Badger Synth knot (and he is my kid according to his momma).

Nuavia Blu ... man I love that anise note.

Smoking a 4.5 pound chicken... and 2.5 pounds of wings (just in case!).

Low 60s, beautiful skies, great scents from the smoke and surrounds, sound of leaves, gentle breeze, and nothing to do but wait for this meal... [Image: 3ec004fb0625261386eee98f45fc0b8e.jpg][Image: 2a9b4619d2fef7ae1b6de61e0ddb5a81.jpg][Image: 4654ecb4a5d02ba6977c43a7a79f3738.jpg]
