As days shorten and green starts to brown, I get excited for some scents I sort of reserve for the fall. Declaration Groomings Darkfall is one of those scents. It offers me the scent of pinion pine resin baking. I grew up gathering pinion cones in the early fall. They are about the size of a tennis ball and gooey with pitch. When we put them in a slow oven the pitch hardens, the cones open, and the nuts are accessible. That baked pitch is the dominant scent on this one and it is glorious!
