Mint Ice Menthol Paste v. (Meißner Tremonia) peppermint, eucalyptus & menthol
Swirl your brush in this tub of paste and you’ll hear a light fizzling sound, sort of like static. You’re hearing the air that’s been whipped into the soap. It forms little bubbles that pop as you load. That sound takes me back to my younger days when I walked to school most mornings over frozen prairie. Each step on the icy crust made a tinkling sound that was charming, until my ears froze. Today I heard that note again. Even before I lathered this paste, it sounded cold, and that chill followed right through into the suds. It’s not a cryogenic cold that will preserve flesh for a millennium. In fact, it hovers just above freezing, but it’s very pleasant and relieving, especially on a sultry summer day when even the sea breeze is too hot and sodden to refresh.
