Btw, if you want a silky lather with this one, just load a bit longer... It's quite impressive actually.
Nero : thanks for the tip! I'll choke my brush the next time.

(Tell me about your avatar. It looks like a place in SW Colorado where I used to hike.)

Go for it...Too late to save the badger now Smile

The avatar is actually Snowbird, Utah. That was the first time I was there (and I was skiing solo that day) and it was very poor visibility and I was scared out of my mind (it's very steep and technical skiing there...cliffs, chutes...).

After a day off to heal up from what-ever-happened with my Sunday shave I had a go with the Mamba, new feather, plissoft knot, and Trumpers Sandalwood soap.  As you can guess, I took nothing for granted and minded every detail of my shave.  The lather was unctuous, slick and cushiony.  Trumpers scents to me seem luxurious.  Understated while not muted.  Classy but not pretentious.  Timeless and well mannered.  I sure wish they would not have gone the "reformulation" route because I understand the current soaps are somewhat difficult to lather.
Ahhhh, I can smell it now.

Btw, Did I sell you the soap?
Was it the tallow, or the good veggie?

Yes you did and it's the sodium palmate grated in with some Vitos about 2/3 trumpers to 1/3 Vitos. That boosted the lather into a totally useable lather without affecting the scent. I liked the scent so much I didn't want to relegate it to hand soap.
