No, Mike does not send soaps out is such fancy containers as this but My sharpie and I do hire out. Mikes! Why do I mess around with other soaps? The lime is a light and fragrant lime and oh so good on a warmer morning. It seems to hint that summer is just around the corner if I can hang on. (2 inches of snow 4 days ago). Mikes never disappoints. And without bat milk or linoleum or jello pudding added to the mix.
Orange Clove t. (Lisa’s Natural Herbal Creations)
Much firmer than the current version of Lisa’s soap, this two-and-a-half-year-old puck still makes a fantastic lather that turns out like greased yoghurt: slick, thick, and glossy. You can imagine why I really like the performance of LNHC, but the scents don’t often work for me. They’re too spicy or too sweet. This old puck, though, has lost most of its fragrance, and now it’s nice. In fact, I can just barely make out the orange and clove and something else that smells a lot like star anise. A shot of Hermès' Bel Ami Vetiver kept it interesting.

After a day off to heal up from what-ever-happened with my Sunday shave I had a go with the Mamba, new feather, plissoft knot, and Trumpers Sandalwood soap. As you can guess, I took nothing for granted and minded every detail of my shave. The lather was unctuous, slick and cushiony. Trumpers scents to me seem luxurious. Understated while not muted. Classy but not pretentious. Timeless and well mannered. I sure wish they would not have gone the "reformulation" route because I understand the current soaps are somewhat difficult to lather.
Btw, Did I sell you the soap?
Was it the tallow, or the good veggie?

Here’s another tub that was unjustly lost and neglected in my soap locker for years. Pity, too, because I’d forgotten how much I really like it. Turns out a can of cola smells really refreshing plastered across your chops. The biggest surprise is the bergamot and neroli. This soap's got heaps. I never thought of cola as citrusy, but this soap's opened my nose. The lather’s on the foamy side, just like what you find on top of a tall cool drink. Great fun on a hot summer afternoon, especially with a few shakes from the menthol mill.
Btw, if you want a silky lather with this one, just load a bit longer... It's quite impressive actually.

(Tell me about your avatar. It looks like a place in SW Colorado where I used to hike.)
