This is a polarizing soap for my family. Some like it and some hate it. I really love the 7/10 scent. Esbjerg Orange/Vetiver comes out of Austria and used to see a lot of play on the forums. It's been a long time since I've heard anyone talk about it. The scent in the tub is orange forward with a funky, earthy vetiver lurking in the background. Well, not really in the background. It's like if orange was a wee girl that was being held hostage by a mobster vetiver and vetiver was hiding behind the girl. So background, yes, but nobody is going to miss the dankness of the vetiver. Upon lathering all hell breaks loose and although I still smell the orange, vetiver comes screaming to the fore. If you have bumped noses with Salters French Vetiver and its dirty, smoky, dankness, well this is not that but it could be its cousin. 7/10 in the tub and it actually goes to 8.5/10 when lathered. This is a cream but a very stiff one with a sort of whipped butter texture. You could load this one in the tub but I generally take a snerdle and smear it on my face to get the lather going. Unlike other creams, this one takes some working to get the lather building. At first it'll be like lotion but as you add droplets of water it will turn a corner and presto. That's just fine that I have to work it though because I love that vetiver scent. Lather is lower structure and not thirsty. Protection is certainly adequate. The scent post shave lingers all day long but only I will smell it and only occasionally. I don't wear a scent post-Esbjerg because I enjoy the whiff of vetiver I get throughout the day. I've got about 2 oz left of this 5.2 oz tub and it will be replaced when it's gone. (I'm a slave to vetiver)
