Eleven - Bosco or as it's now known Cedar, Vetiver & Sweetgrass

One of the best scents in all of Shavedom! IMHO

(My first shave with my new...) Palmolive shave stick reformed into a puck. Awesome smell, slickness, feel, and price.

Ralph Lauren Safari shaving soap (tallow). If I was forced to choose a "desert island forever" shave setup, the Safari software would certainly be a possibility.

Pompelmo t. (Wholly Kaw) plastic grapefruit

The lather is very fine grained and stable. It coats like a lotion and finishes like cold cream. It's certainly among the five best performers on my shelf.

The scent is another matter. When I cracked open the tublet, I had an unexpected Proustian moment. The scent coming off the puck took me back nearly fifty years to a basement in our neighborhood where all the kids played. Someone had a kit for making edible bugs. We'd mix a pouch of gelatin powder with some water, pour the goo into a mold, and cook it over a light bulb. When it was solid, we'd pry open the tray and out would pop a strawberry worm, or a coconut cockroach, or some cherry ants. We made moths with the grapefruit powder, but no one ate them. They just weren't tasty. Unfortunately that grapefruit moth is exactly what this soap and lather smell like. Not exactly what I was hoping for from WK, but thanks for the memories all the same.

Thanks yet again for sharing your impressions! I’ve tried (not actively, but occasionally) to find a review on Pompelmo for months, now. This is the first one I’ve come across. It also perhaps explains why no one has been too enthusiastic about reviewing the product earlier… Undecided
