Pine Tar (Chiseled Face)
After staring at this sample for two years, I finally mustered the nerve to open it. One deep whiff confirms that yes, it does smell like a deodorant (phenol) used in a public facility, but if you can shake off that association for a few minutes, you may enjoy the bold note of smoky pine sap. It lathers stiff and easy, and it led to an excellent shave. That doesn't mean, though, that I'll be moving it to the top of the rotation.
