Timeless Slim Head Razors

Thanks for that review, George! Reading somewhat between the lines – was the experience with the Feather blade harsh? Wondering if this base plate would be an answer in my quest for efficiency without harshness (which has so far been answered by one razor, the Blackbird). My Timeless Ti 0.68 is lacking the blade-feel that I prefer. The iKon 104 Tech has a little too much of it.

Sounds like you may also need to try the Blackbird Ti as well as the Timeless Slim.

Thank you. I’ve noticed that even though the Ti 0.68 is somewhat mild, a Feather blade does improve efficiency slightly, but can also add an element of harshness. I enjoy the Feather in most razors, but it sure is nice to have options.

Second use of the Slim OC plate and I still have not been able to get a smooth shave from it. It may not be for me.

I have the SS DC model and it has always been super smooth on the SB and OC sides.

Second use of the Slim OC plate and I still have not been able to get a smooth shave from it.  It may not be for me.

Will you try to exchange the OC plate for the SB?
I didn't use any of them but sometimes the shaving will be smooth and better with SB plate to you!

Is it that you just find the Slim more aggressive than the standard .95, the reason for why you are not getting comfortable shaves?

It is more aggressive but I love aggressive razors. I am not used to a Timeless not being smooth. I own a ton of extremely high gap razors and I still find them to be smooth. Even my Rocnel 2019 Sailor is still smooth at higher gaps but extremely aggressive compared to my 2020 Sailor. I am shocked that I have yet to get a smooth shave from this new Timeless slim OC. It may just be the OC plate but I have some pretty aggressive OC razors as well that are still smooth.

It’s really weird because out of all the higher gap OC razors that I own, this one and the ATT SE2 V2 are the most uncomfortable OC’s that I have used. Even the PAA DOC Evolution is smooth to me. I just use more care with the shave.
